Illinois is among a handful of states with virtually no data on homeschooling. But among the 30 states that track participation, the numbers are booming. That shift is unfolding as enrollment falls in large, urban districts, including at Chicago Public Schools.

I never thought I would support home school, but I have changed my mind 180 degree. This is such a movement that is on the rise. Parents continue to option

It is surprising that the teachers unions and the IL board of education haven’t gone after these home schools on multiple fronts. Zoning, health regulations, teacher certifications and so on. Since Pritzker refuses to allow the federal exemption for private school tuition, this is the next best alternative. I really anticipate that home schools will be attacked from several different angles. The more successful they are, the more the establishment will try to destroy them.

You could probably make some assumptions about home schooling in IL from the declining enrollment in school districts. The districts graciously still impose the full taxation on homeschoolers to keep the professional educators off the streets.
