Gas Stations Plan Response If Forced To Post Tax Relief Signage – WMAY (Springfield)

The Illinois Fuel and Retail Association has gone to court to block the state requirement that gas stations post signs stating that the legislature suspended a gas tax increase through December 31, 2022 - but if the court does not strike down that requirement, it will provide signs to all gas stations stating that lawmakers have doubled the gas tax since 2019… creating the second-highest gas tax in the nation… and relegating the required language to a corner of that sign.

The demoncrap Nazis under Adolph Pritzger will seek revenge against any fuel outlet that dares to humiliate him. Tax agents, regulators, state inspectors, license checks, building code violations and an assortment of other harrassment techniques will suddenly befall the fuel station operators.

We’re getting to a point where the sales tax on a gallon of gas is greater than the motor fuel tax.

We’ll see who blinks first in this little game of chicken. JB is used to getting his way, and probably has a team of lawyers in button down shirts working feverishly to suspend the free speech of gas station owners. The Dems insistence that signs be posted about delaying the $.02 increase speaks to their desperation. With every day of ever increasing prices comes their day of reckoning. Progressive liberal policies have been a disaster.

Seems that the government’s *compelled speech* will not be working out quite as they planned…

Hmmm…..there is hope when gas station owners give Arbuckle the finger! How embarrassing!

Also put up signs that say. JB does not care about your property taxes but only cares about HIS property taxes. Better yet do what Howard Beale from Network film says. “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore”. Yell it out your window that I can save money on property taxes. Then throw out your toilets.

Great idea. Now buy some billboards by the expressways.
But the signs should say “the Illinois Democrat governor and Democrat majority have doubled the gas taxes” along with “Be careful who you vote for”.

As I’ve said all along…play the game by their rules, but play the game better than them. Case in point…

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
