Giannoulias to crack down on Illinois agencies sharing license plate reader data with other states – WAND (Decatur)

Yeah, it’s hard to trust the system when it can’t even maintain the basics, like https://bizzo-casino.co.com/ keeping critical public safety info accurate. They always highlight the one polished success story while ignoring the mess underneath. Feels more like a PR move than real accountability.

Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias is pushing to restrict how state agencies share license plate reader (LPR) data, particularly with states that could use it to prosecute individuals seeking reproductive or gender-affirming care. His proposal aims to prevent the misuse of LPR data by ensuring it isn’t provided to states with laws targeting such healthcare choices. The move is part of broader efforts in Illinois to safeguard privacy and protect residents’ rights.

And I’m sure no criminals and child sex offenders won’t slip through in a state that can’t even keep their pedophile website up to date. Once again, the state dangles the best, shiny example for their actions out there and conveniently ignores its track record of failure with other such initiatives.

Illinois is just trying to figure out a way to profit off of it. They aren’t looking to protect anyone.
