He will get reelected, not because he’s popular, but because they’ve gerrymandered the Republicans out of existence, and he has more than enough money to scare off challengers and buy the election, all courtesy of the subservient media.

Gerrymandering doesn’t impact statewide elections. Nice try.

How laughable Mark! Like there are all these excellent GOP candidates in Illinois that won’t run because of gerrymandering. lol. You can’t actually believe that garbage. Thanks for the laugh.

Exactly. Why was Rauner a bust? Because the Democrats supermajority blocked everything. How did the Democrats get a supermajority? By gerrymandering. Did on state and federal level.

i understand the vitriol levied against Priztzker but what makes no sense is how these same people continue to support Trump. anyone who believes that Donald cares about anything except his own personal interests is deluded beyond belief.

Hmm.. can you explain how Trump, supposedly going to give Putin free rein is now trying to get Ukraine missiles to fight Russia? Can you explain how Trump, supposedly a war monger, helped nip Iran in the bud, much to the approval of most of the world? Can you explain how Trump is finally making NATO nations step up and start shouldering their fair share of their defenses? Joe/Kamala would’ve accomplished any of this? Nope, nope and nope.

Winston Churchill once said that democracy was the worst form of government, except for all the others. Well, one could say Donald Trump is the worst possible president, except for the people running against him (Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris). Yes, Trump has plenty of flaws, enough that I didn’t vote for him in 2016 (nor did I vote for Hillary), but did vote for him quite enthusiastically in 2020 and 2024. But in comparison to the “chaos and craziness” among the Democrats, he’s the best we have at the moment. (JD Vance and others are at least… Read more »

Honestly, who would want to deal with the mess Pritzker, Leftist Democrats, and the public union bosses have created!? Emanuel wanted no part of any of it, Chicago or the State.

Hopefully Pritzker gets to oversee some BK’s in this Leftist hinterland called IL.

Yup. Opposition to Pritzker makes fun of personal appearance while he end up winning third term. Hahahahaha!!! Too funny!

Meanwhile…Illinois loses population daily. Productive taxpayers abandon JB the Hutt’s woebegone state for saner and better-managed locales, and the trust fund baby thinks himself a President.

Yep. Hilarious.

More deflection from JB the Hutt’s malgovernance and overspending. There is no one to protect Illinois from JB the Hutt.

Yep, despite us having the highest or among the highest taxes and fees in the country, he has other wondrous things planned for us like a progressive income tax and a VMT.

Illinois and its municipalities and counties continue to lose citizens to other states because of mismanaged and irresponsible governance. The loss has been somewhat hidden by the large influx of illegal immigrants.

Relatedly, starting next year, Michigan won’t be taxing retirement income.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
