Gov. JB Pritzker compares President Trump to Putin, calls for invoking 25th Amendment for suggesting military use Chicago as “training grounds” – CBS2 (Chicago)

"It appears that Donald Trump not only has dementia set in, but he's copying tactics of Vladimir Putin. Sending troops into cities, thinking that that's some sort of proving ground for war, or that indeed there's some sort of internal war going on in the United States is just, frankly, inane and I'm concerned for his health," Pritzker said Tuesday afternoon. "There is something genuinely wrong with this man, and the 25th Amendment ought to be invoked."

There is something genuinely wrong with JB the Hutt.

The Hutt’s bloated mendacity and deflection from his utterly failed management of Madiganistan is telling. The useless Chicago media still amplifying his repeated calls to arms to his Brownshirts is also a tell.

The Goebbels-level propaganda regurgitated by the mindless Chicago media has to be out of fear losing access to Springfield political animals and their campaign ad buys.

Spot on, as reporter William Kelley found out this week. Pritzker is financially and culturally destructive.

Such hypocrisy by Pritzker. All his executive orders that shut down the state. He ruined businesses and shut down schools. All the while his family went to Florida and he partied in Lake Geneva. He gerrymandered the state to suppress Independent and Republican voters. He still has not released the 2024 state financial report, let alone the 2025 report. Vote him out , and he can take Kuame with him.

Please stop being hypnotized by Pritzker’s antics; they are nothing more than a lame attempt to remain in the news. We all know he plans to run for POTUS, but 2028 is a long way away and many things can happen between now and then. Lastly, Pritzker has almost no chance of being elected President.

Governor Ahab still stalking the Great Orange Whale. Where is Herman Melville? I’ve got an idea for a book he can write.

It does not change the point. I am no Pritzker supporter, but a sitting president suggesting the military be used in US Cities as training is a bit unhinged.

Does IL have an equivalent to the 25th for the governor? Trump isn’t responsible for the financial, public safety and cultural destruction of IL, Pritzker is leading that parade. Do democrats have Stockholm Syndrome?

Need a 25th to recall this idiot as he continues, and I did say continues with Democrats, to destroy this state.
I’m just amazed how people could vote democratic in the absolutely worst managed and financially bankrupt state in the union.

Pritzker or Trump? You say tomAto. I say tomAHto, or so it seems to me. Essentially it’s much akin to the story of two blind men giving their description of an elephant. There’s nothing new under the sun. ‘tound and ’round she goes. Where she stops nobody knows.

It’s a good thing we have zoology and don’t use deciding which blind man is right to determine the size and shape of the elephant.

Sure, DJT, looks like the more athletic elephant, doesn’t he? Maybe you see a big difference in their appearances. I don’t.

You don’t see Trump wheezing and puffing after walking 12 feet, as Pritzker was doing in his lakefront video — trying to prove how safe Chicago is — when one is walking in the Gold Coast and surrounded by armed security.

You won’t see DJT walking a golf course either. I wonder if he ties his own shoes. Bets anyone?

Between the 2 of them, Trump’s height is reported as 6’3″ and weight is 224 lbs.

Pritzker, in contrast, refuses to release his weight statistics.

Draw your own conclusions.

Sure, but truly “reported” is the key word there. When has The Donald ever allowed anything to be reported about him that doesn’t make him seem to be Superman? Never! Almost every “expert” surely can be persuaded by bribery or coercion. The result is that Trump probably “wins” 95% of the time. Alphonse Capone became a “winner” in much the same way.

It’s an empirical question. Any competent and honest doctor can diagnose dementia.

It’s not a matter of competing “blind man” opinions.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
