Gov. JB Pritzker issues statement on mass shooting at Willowbrook Juneteenth celebration – NBC5 (Chicago)

In wake of the shooting where at least one person was killed and 22 others were injured, Pritzker issued a statement: "...Gathering for a holiday celebration should be a joyful occasion, not a time where gunfire erupts and families are forced to run for safety. As I've said time and time again, gun violence is a public health emergency in this country and I remain committed to banning these dangerous weapons and making our state safer for everyone."

I found “deepest condolences” in Pritzker’s statement but was hoping for “thoughts and prayers.”

The law abiding citizens are the new Palestinians; they want to defend themselves against lawlessness and the Fatty Arbuckle wants to disarm us of the most effective domestic weapons.

News Flash – Pritzker and Democrats love to politic on violence. That’s why they are soft on crime. And yet, people continue to vote for them.

What the heck is he talking about? The shootings occurred at 12:25 am. “a holiday celebration” and “families forced to run”! What kind of families are having a holiday celebration at 1230 in the morning?

Lets see how many times the shooters were caught and released in the past. Guess what, if you implement the unsafety act, and if the police do not respond to 911 calls, and prosecutors do not prosecute…..then what are my alternatives: move out of state or maybe buy a weapon to protect myself and my family?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
