Column: Gov. JB Pritzker says Texas Gov. Greg Abbott rebuffed his plea to pause migrant transports to Chicago area during freeze – Chicago Sun-Times

Lynn Sweet: "Pursuing the matter, over the weekend Pritzker personally paid for ads appealing to Abbott in five Texas newspapers: the Houston Chronicle; Dallas Morning News; Fort Worth Star-Telegram; San Antonio Express News and the Austin American-Statesman. Asked if he had heard from Abbott, Pritzker said, his 'response was he rejects my call for a pause and that he will continue to send people even with this weather, even if it is dangerous for the migrants who arrive.'"

JB needs to eat more and talk less.
Gov. Abbott should tell JB he’ll stop the buses if JB can lose 20 lbs in a month.

Abbott didn’t just win. He is winning each and every day. Pritzker wakes up every morning and has to drop onto his pudgy knees and tell Abbott “You’re my Daddy.”

LOL, JB’s billions isn’t from oil or tech so it buys him no influence in Texas. Speaking of that, I accidentally watched ABC news last night after the end of the football game. I caught a quote from him yesterday, in the news, where he was commenting on the IOWA Primary: “Tonight’s contest is simply a question of whether you like your MAGA Trump agenda wrapped in the original packaging, or with high heels, or lifts in their boots” Let there be no doubt this man hates you. This type of flippant arrogance, from a state governor, is really oft-putting for half the country. He intentionally alienates half of America with his really terrible progressive policies and then mocks you publicly for disagreeing, and lies about the bad things. He didn’t just go after the Republican candidates, he’s mocking you and your beliefs, deplorable. He’s attacking you, the voter. He doesn’t care if you leave the state. He wants you gone, or in his newly emptied prisons, because there’s simply no place for deplorables in our inclusive progressive utopia.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
