JB must be thinking this Bears thing isn’t as easy as he thought. Indiana is proposing paying for the Bears stadium and allowing the Bears to repay the cost over time, after which they would own it. So the Bears have little upfront costs of construction and no cost for infrastructure, which will be paid for by Indiana. What difference does it make if the Bears play in Arlington Park or Gary? Both have rail service from downtown and are about the same drive time. The vast majority of fans watch on TV. Stadiums are a waste of money. $4 billion for a building that has 10–11 games per season?

The stadium cost is 2 BILLION which the Bears are paying. They want help with the infrastructure for the hotels , stores and other buildings . With the Domed Stadium you would get concerts, basketball tournaments maybe a Super Bowl besides other venues .
