Gov. Pritzker signs bill creating elected Chicago school board – WGNTV (Chicago)

The current seven-member CPS board will now grow to 21 members in 2024. Ten members will be elected during that year’s general election. The remaining 10 members and a board president will be appointed by the mayor. Then, in 2026, all 21 positions will be picked by Chicago voters.

Get the Caliope going! Lori is delighted! She’s finally unloaded CPS! Now she can focus on eliminating tax payers. The community will run the schools! Board meetings will include Chuck Cheese worthy brawls. In an over abundance of caution everyone will be screened for weapons.

Maybe, but Lori’s bug-like face will still be getting the questions and the blame. With either leadership we all know CTU really owns, runs, rules the “schools” where every student from 3rd grade on is in perpetual remedial study.
