Government officials charge taxpayers millions to try to keep secrets from public – NBC5 (Chicago)

Analysis shows that it has cost Chicago-area taxpayers more than $13.4 million over the past 12 years for government officials to fight Freedom of Information Act requests, trying to keep  public documents secret.

And JB Pigster calls some of Illinois citizens Nazis. There are a lot of people who should be tarred and feathered.

I wrote the book on the Percy case. It appears Kenilworth spent over $300,000, not $100,000, to keep those files secret. As you can see from my follow up books (Zodiac Maniac and Super Killer), it’s because what’s in those files proves Percy’s killer not only was responsible for upwards of 90 slayings (many in and around Chicago in the fifties) but was none other than the Zodiac, the feared SF serial killer many have long believed was covered up by the feds.

I researched this a bit more based upon your books and this is fascinating. DNA would clear this up conclusively. They’ve solved the Jack the Ripper case with DNA 100 years later they can certainly solve this too.

Didn’t the Better Government Association (BGA) submit a request pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to City Colleges of Chicago for education records related to City Colleges’ graduation rate? City Colleges refused to turn over the records and off to court they went.
