Governor JB Pritzker vows to ‘do everything I can to protect our undocumented immigrants’ – FOX News

However, he conceded there were some circumstances where the state would work with the federal government to deport illegal immigrants. "I want to be clear that there are certain circumstances in which the federal government, state governments should work together to allow deportation. An example would be somebody who’s been convicted of a violent crime," he said.

Since he wants them and is going to protect them, the rest of the country should ship all the illegal aliens to Illinois. Those idiots would be more than happy to pay for them.

Typical politician, talks out both sides of his mouth! He’s backpedaling because he knows he’ll lose federal funding or go to jail if he resists!

Commodus Maximus is already backing down on his “ Happy Warrior “ tough rhetoric and Trumpeting isn’t even in the WH yet. More bloviating from a man throughly enchanted with his own mystique.

Chubby seems to have shifted a bit to acknowledge exceptions for criminal activity, which is good. What he should also say is that he wants police departments to initiate contact with ICE in such cases. He should also end the sanctuary state nonsense.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
