Many IL residents aren’t aware of the continual onslaught of tax and fee increases and creations. When they finally realize what’s going on, it’s death by a thousand cuts. IL is very sly and effective about abusing its residents in this fashion.
Akin to the lobster who doesn’t realize the heat is going up. Or … death by a thousand cuts.
Anyway you phrase it, voters seems oblivious, thus the passage of Amendment One and Pritzker’s reelection.
