Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. If only some influence could reform the completely out of control newsroom. Mass firings would help.
Alden/Trib must be getting a lot of hits on all the Vallas articles and others they NOW include and are realizing there’s a deeply frustrated audience for a conservative news perspective other than the usual pseudo-socialist fair served up ST/WBEZ-WTTW, etc……who knows maybe Trib will include some WP or IPI articles?, one can only hope
Keep in mind this was on the editorial side, which is separate. It’s the news/reporter side where their problem is — shamelessly biased and woke to the max.
