Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. What is wrong with our legislature? Why are they giving free money to non-voting citizens to attend college while the rest of our citizens are drowning in student loan debt?
I mean seriously, what is wrong with them? I literally hate this state more and more. I can’t keep coming to this website, it just depresses me too much.
debtsor- You asked what’s wrong with them. I believe that politicians drink more Fluoridated water than most of us. Since fluoride is a neurotoxin and is mandated to be put in most water supplies in Illinois and about 70% of U.S. you can see why so many people have mental health problems especially Springfield. Look at NCBI (pubmed.org) under fluoride and mental health or fluoride and IQ levels or Fluorideactionnetwork.org. Most of our politicians IQ’s hovers between 0-1. Luckily I drink well water.
