House unanimously passes bill to let Illinois parents leave teens home alone – Illinois Policy

Illinois’ minimum age of 14 is the highest age in the nation, and 39 states have no minimum at all.

Another one-size-fits-all law brought to you by the nanny state.

Decisions like these should be left to the discretion of parents.

Also note, neglectful parents won’t give a fig about this new law.
