How Congressional Maps Could Change in 2030 – Brennan Center for Justice

New population estimates released this week by the U.S. Census Bureau suggest that the shifts in political power after the 2030 census could be among the most profound in the nation’s history. If these trends continue for the balance of the decade, California would lose 4 of its 52 congressional districts in reapportionment, New York, meanwhile, would lose three seats, Illinois two, and Pennsylvania one, leaving all three states with congressional delegations half the size they were in 1940.

Pritzker needs to get those immigrant numbers up so Illinois keeps it Electoral votes and no matter how much money he throws around apportionment is determined by simple math.

I think he kind of cares about the electoral college and congressional representation, but he finds it more important to drive conservative dissidents out of the state instead. Remember, JB is an angry, hateful man with a messed up relationship with food. His father died when he was young, and his mother was an alcoholic floosie who, for no explicable reason, jumped out of a tow truck and killed herself when he was 17, away at boarding school.
