How Illinois failed to stop a flood of unemployment fraud during the pandemic – Chicago Tribune*

Records show the flood of fraud happened after IDES failed to follow federal recommendations to adopt free fraud-fighting tools that were made available in 2019. Only recently did the agency begin using those tools. A separate process to help identify problematic claims also didn’t become fully functional until February, nearly a year into the pandemic.

IDES doesn’t give a fig. They will just raise unemployment insurance rates on Businesses to cover their loss. Critical Race Theory says that all businesses are owned by the hated White man so most of that stolen money went to the poor oppressed minorities and are a form of reparations.

It’s Illinois, it’s a sewer. The thieves make the rules subsequently nothing is ever investigated. Why bother, no law has been broken. Illinois politicians are universally thought of as shtbags and world class skulks. Even the Obama posse are looked upon as filthy rubbish from a filthy city.

Im truly astounded that Illinois Republicans aren’t trying to ride jbs titanic incompetent flop at IDES to the victory line. Especially when unbalivably IDES flat out refused to use existing anti-fraud software put in place by Republican Rauner admin up until February of this year. And who knows to this day if the IDES afscme hero’s are even on the job? Are they still sitting at home, supposedly working productively remotely, or maybe not, or maybe nobody cares as usual?..OUTRAGEOUS SHOCKING INCOMPETENCE at all levels

Taxpayers and businesses need to vote Freddie out in 2022 – we really do, to give… Read more »

Qui tam lawsuit to recover money fraudulently obtained from State.
This will enable discovery of evidence State would otherwise withhold from public scrutiny.

But yet again as usual nothing will be done to those at IDES or Pritzker only ones who suffer from this are the Illinois TAXPAYERS and BUSINESSES. 8 billion dollars in the whole at best estimates, Pritzker you are a pathetic individual and unworthy of being a political leader.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
