Hundreds Of Cook County Workers Stage One-Day Strike, Demanding Pandemic Pay – CBS2 (Chicago)

“For nearly three months, SEIU Local 73 has attempted to bargain with Cook County. During which, the County has refused to set bargaining dates, cancelled bargaining dates, and walked out on negotiations,” the union said in a statement.

Have any county workers been laid-off since the Wuhan Virus pandemic began in March? Have ANY county workers missed a paycheck? No? Then lay off a third of them now for their strike tantrum. No one in the county will notice a difference in services.
