There are at least 25 states that will stop paying claims before the September deadline. Illinois is not one of them, which means Illinois is once again a target for scammers.

Anytime any state agency is involved, you can expect Pritzker size headaches. I had problems filing with the system asking for information and acronyms I’d never heard. I just gave up, it’s not worth the aggravation. Anything the government inserts themselves into always gets screwed up. How about real ID? Great! A trip to the DMV! Worse than the Post Office! I retract that, the DMV isn’t that bad, it’s simply unpleasant. But, it does have entertainment. Pick a clerk who looks furious and watch them snap and scowl and the elderly.
