IL bans PFAS in firefighter gear by 2027, raising safety, market questions – Center Square

“As a legislator, I’m willing to sit down with the industry and firefighters if it turns out that non-PFAS gear is only rated for 400 degrees instead of 700. That’s a conversation we would need to have to understand the implications and determine the best path forward,” said state Sen. Neil Anderson.
