IL Medicaid overhaul effective Jan. 1 sparks backlash – Center Square

State Rep. Bill Hauter, also a physician, says the most controversial change creates a new category of noncitizens eligible for Medicaid-style benefits. The bill allows asylum seekers and people from countries with documented human-rights abuses to qualify, an expansion he calls a “backdoor” increase in taxpayer-funded coverage as border encounters rise and many asylum claims are denied.

No, IL taxpayers do not want to pay for illegals or any foreign person. Start representing IL residents who are US citizens.

It’s Christmas and Pritzker has jiggled his belly like a tub full of jelly and brought free health care for masses of foreigners here in Illinois. Now of course nothing is free in life so it will be the citizens taxpayers that will be digging in their wallets to pay for the revelry. Pritzker will portray those individuals as Scrooges and all will be happy in Democrat circles this day. Biden contorted the definition of asylum to enable almost anyone crossing illegally to qualify as seeking asylum. This law seems to be more of that and certainly typical of Pritzker.
