Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Play stupid games? Fight with someone with a gun!
She will get away with it, cops almost always do.
A very big problem came with the hiring of female police beat officers. Generally they lack the physical strength to bring down larger males and fall back to lethal force. Not too long ago a female officer shot an unarmed criminal at one of the downtown underground L stations.because she was unable to cuff him. The navy will be in bad shape during the next war
since females lack the physical strength to perform damage control. Women do not belong in the police nor armed forces!
Sounds like the deceased F–ked Around and Found Out.
If the CCSAO indicted the Oak Lawn officer for aggravated battery while attempting to control a resisting subject who was trying to reach for a gun…
This officer will then clearly be indicted for at minimum involuntary manslaughter yes…?
Oh who am I kidding…
Justice is not blind in IL…
It’s “Just-Us”…..
Its all about intersectionality. There’s a flowchart out there where being black, woman, cop, queer, disabled gives or takes away points, and the person with the most points wins. If the perp has more points, the victim is charged. If the perp has fewer points than the victim, then the perp is charged. It’s just how things go.
The city will settle for millions, cop will get fired, Foxx will indict and charge cop with murder, all democrats will be happy
Not clear what will happen given the various intersectional identities at play here. Kim Foxx has some complicated flow chart, irrelevant of the facts, where the various identities play out until they figure out who was on top. What I do know is that in a community full of officers drawn from the community, that look and act like the community, you get situations like this, which is clearly kind of a cluster***. Not sure why the cop was walking around off-duty with her gun. Not sure why they’re just chillin, they seem to know each other, but then that… Read more »
