Beginning in 2025, the state and county's minimum wage will officially increase to $15 an hour for non-tipped employees. Tipped employees will increase to $9 an hour. The increase is separate from Chicago's minimum wage, however. The city's minimum wage changes in July each year and is currently at $16.20 an hour for non-tipped workers.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Don’t forget to mention you will now pay $11.00 for a hamburger, $9.00 for a hot dog, and so on fries are extra sorry .
