Illinois’ cities home to some of country’s highest property tax rates – Center Square

In all, ATTOM Data Solutions finds Illinois now has 27 of the nation’s top 50 counties for heaviest property tax rates. Wirepoints president Ted Dabrowski pointed to all the tax policy now coming out of Springfield as clear and undeniable evidence of the way lawmakers have grown out of touch with the residents they’re charged with being a voice for.

In Littleton, CO I pay 0.6% for my house in the foothills of da Rockies.

Glad I voted with my feet and left Taxistan over 25 years ago!!

Never wonder why people and businesses are moving to other states. Excessive high taxes mean trouble for everyone. The public sector has eaten the quality of life for dinner. Public sector eats Tomahawk steaks, while the private sector eats Raman noodles.
