Illinois COVID test provider owed nearly $7 million by federal government – CBS2 (Chicago)

Inside a Chicago building, Mercury Lab provided free COVID testing to thousands of people with the promise of reimbursement by a government agency called the Health Resources and Services Administration. But a bill passed by Congress rescinded Janine Morabito's money. Under the law, "no additional claims payments will be made under the uninsured program."

LOL this fool tried to milk the government for covid, by fronting the cost of tests to uninsured people during the frenzy, hoping to get paid on the backend, but got screwed herself instead. I don’t know, I had a handful of covid tests for various reasons during covid, and I paid for them all myself out of pocket or through insurance. Doesn’t seem like it was a very good idea to give away free covid tests to poor uninsured people and hope the feds paid you back…
