Illinois elections official recognizes loophole in ballot drop box voting – Center Square

“If someone else is delivering your ballot to the election authority they have to fill out the affidavit, they don’t have to do that if the post office is delivering it to us or if they’re utilizing a drop box, so there is a little bit of a loophole there,” Tazewell County Clerk and Recorder John Ackerman said.

Wow! A loophole and opportunity for possible fraud with mail in voting? Like harvesting ballots at a nursing home or an individual mailing multiple ballots in the name of the living and dead? Boy, I never thought of that!
