Illinois General Assembly Cancels Sessions as Winter Storms Approach – NBC5 (Chicago)

Senate President Don Harmon said that the body will turn to its remote committee process this week, rather than meeting in-person. The House will do the same, according to the press release. It is unclear how the governor will deliver the State of the State address.

I planned on making a snide remark about politicians grasping for more ass time than CTU. Out of an abundance of caution we’re taking some snow days, see ya in March.

Well, at least for a few days, the few good people left in IL are safe from the clown show that is the ILGA. Take the whole winter off, we are tired of you and want you to go away.

News Flash! During winter it SNOWS in Illinois!

The mail will get delivered, kids will trudge to school, grocery stores will remain open, streets will be plowed, and trash will be picked up, but the legislature that has been on a semi-vacation for the past two years will huddle in their homes (or poolside in Florida) with their computers to “govern.”

What a bunch!
