Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker calls on the ‘coalition of the sane’ to defeat ‘the lunatic fringe’ as Democrats rally at state fair – Chicago Tribune/MSN

Gov. JB Pritzker said he believed in working with “people with different viewpoints to build a better, less rancorous political climate. We owe that to our children and our grandchildren.” But on a day traditionally reserved for unbridled partisanship, he and other leading Democrats  exuberantly assailed Republicans. “The lunatic fringe has taken over their party and they’ll say anything, do anything, destroy anything to get elected."

A Bailey reform administration would be the coalition of the sane. Even better if real reform could take place.

JB the Hutt is the biggest member of the insane woke mob infecting democrat politics. There’s simply no sanity there. JB claims with a straight face that he balanced the budget, yet declines to admit that Fed Covid funds picked up the tab.

This is how a trust fund baby governs. Illinois is beyond broke and teeters ever closer to the largest municipal bankruptcy in history. JB has only hastened its arrival.

So much for working with the other side. JB will never work with Republicans on any type of reforms. Only the Democrats have solutions to problems they created in the first place which is that it is always a revenue problem NEVER EVER a spending problem.

Coalition of the sane? They operate in “looking glass” mode – believing six impossible things before breakfast.

The only things that Democrats know how to do is: Spend other people’s money, Virtue Signal and pathetic name calling.

Well, JB’s decided that all of us who think he’s wrong are no longer just deplorable, we’re also part of the “lunatic fringe.”

I’ve always enjoyed the thoughtful level of adult maturity JB demonstrates every time he waddles up on a stage somewhere to pat himself on the back.

It’s hard to take this man seriously when his entire campaign strategy is repeating DC’s left-wing Twitteratti talking points. There’s never been a novel idea that come out of that man’s mouth. It’s all Republicans bad, Progressives good, with the usual talking points about abortion, Muh Democracy, and Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s all the same from NY to CA in every blue state in between. Not that Republicans are much better but at least they are attempting different things in different states, with more restrictive abortion in some compared to others, to funding students instead of schools in AZ, to… Read more »

These LOL morons are exactly what the people of Illinois don’t want. Hopefully people will see through their lies, name calling and grandstanding so we can truly unite all this state and get ourselves on to better a better government. Get out and vote them out of office!

The three negatives on this comment are perplexing – wish they’d put in a bit more effort and explain their negatives.

As ger42 states:

  • Are they really morons? Probably not in the classic sense.
  • Do they lie? Without a doubt.
  • Do they call names? Yup, with vigor!
  • Do they grandstand? Every chance they get.

I find little to take exception to in ger42’s comment.

They are liberal democrats just turned loose from the State Fair and finding people who know the LOL in this state are knocking JB’s pep talk for the truly insane. It’s not perplexing to me, they just blame others and don’t have any real solutions. That would take effort!
Thanks for the support but sorry to drag you into the slop of negatives with me. I wonder if that is 11 or 22 people who fell for the pep talk. We each had -11 at the time of my response.

Not a problem, not my first rodeo with negatives.

I find it interesting that the negatives don’t explain their exception to a comment, just their disapproval.

How very woke of them. No counter argument because they have NONE.
