Sorry for the pessimism but the next election probably won’t change anything due to the use of the COVID-19 era election laws passed earlier this summer. The general consensus is that the relaxing of voter laws leads to higher D turnout. However, in 2020, Republicans in CA used it to their advantage in some red districts and flipped a few seats back. Used the correct way, Republicans may be able to use it to their advantage….doubtful, but maybe
