How exactly does this law protect anyone when politicians are soft on criminals?

Democrats nationwide have spent a decade picking and choosing which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore. Now they are surprised that their opponents do the same thing? Rule of law for me but not for thee.

Totally agree. Pritzker and his family have fully supported illegal immigration and not cooperating with ICE. Thus defying the laws of our country. Now he wines about the county sheriffs taking the same posture regarding his and the D’s new law. What an undisciplined hypocrite.

So based on the SAFE T act, I can rob, assault, tresspass, kidnap, etc. with no consequence.

But, if I walk out of my house with a 20 shot magazine, he expects Sherriff to throw me in jail, then be prosecuted with death penalty???

I’d go even further to say that it’s a coordinated effort. Pritzker is in Davos right now, he and other attendees burned tons of jet fuel to get there, and plotting ways to make himself richer. Pritzker and the majority of politicians are systematically eliminating and weaponizing the choice architecture of the citizenry for their benefit. This grand plan they’re following has been devised from the fruition of behavioral economics, sociology, psychology, etc. and has nothing to do with the best interests of the public. The public line is always for the children, but the policy objective is always for… Read more »

The goal of the gun grab law is to drive you, the deplorable, out of the state, or to imprison you, which ever comes first. You can hear the contempt the gun grabbers have in their voice when they speak about you and your ‘sacred’ 2nd amendment. They want to take away your guns, so they can hurt you, and they have made that explicitly clear.

These are the witness slips for the original bill. The numbers speak volumes.

13,417 for
22,666 against

This is with the for group having a complete monopoly on mass communication technology and an extremely well financed and coordinated effort. Furthermore, Google top search results lead to an automated website that can easily register your support.

We’re still in the majority, even after all this.

Pritzker utilizes the old tried and true strawman approach to appeal to building up fear within the minds of Illinois citizenry. He even goes so far as to involve the “protect children” argument that has in the past to stir certain voters emotions. Consider though if he was really worried about the citizens wouldn’t he block the no cash bail he supports? Pritzker is no different than a recent situation created by a Karen recently except, as we see, many buy his Pablum. While it is all juvenile it does stir many Illinois voters emotion these days. Life in Illinois,… Read more »

Once again, we have elected fear mongers. If you go to Church(which they only want them worshiped) going to a pararde, Sending your kids to school. If we beleive these people we would be running away from this like our hair is on fire. This Governor is using this state so he can run for President. All of this is for the campaign trail. Look at all I’VE done vote for me. Again, all of these so called laws are being challenged in court. We need to keep pushing back

The Fat man is worried that his law will not pass muster in the courts.
And he has some gall talking about sheriffs who will not enforce this idiotic law.
He and his fellow communists do not see or maybe it is their plan to simultaneously disarm people and empower criminals . Blow it out of your behind you prick.

It certainly appears that the (D)’s want to run all conservatives out of the state…

What else can it be…?

They are increasingly creating a toxic environment for us to live & work in…

The jokes on them tho…

After we’ve all been forced out, who will do any of the work, & more importantly, PAY for everything …?

Yes, this is exactly what they are trying to do. An inclusive, progressive utopia, by definition, excludes deplorables, and they’re going to run you out of the state, or incarcerate you, which ever comes first.

My assumption is that in the future, and in many ways now, Illinois will have one important thing to sell and that is Electoral Votes. I assume that one of the political parties will broker Federal giveaway funding to provide for the free stuff army types that will be enough to provide funding for the unionized workers that administer the programs.
Simple enough isn’t it?
(look to the JFK election and Illinois electoral votes as a preview)

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
