Illinois governor’s race poll shows Darren Bailey with a big lead over Richard Irvin – WBEZ (Chicago)

If the numbers hold, it would represent a brutal repudiation by Illinois’ Republican voters of Irvin, his array of mainstream party endorsements and, most pointedly, his $50 million benefactor, Chicago hedge fund tycoon Ken Griffin.

Do NOT believe this.

FAKE.

Political propaganda to disillusion possible voters for Mr Irvin.

The Establishment must be scared, really scared.

They know Mr Irvin will beat Freddie Pritzker.

And he will.

It doesn’t matter who wins the Republican nomination. VOTE RED THIS TIME. EVEN RINOS are further to the right than the nation’s most progressive fatso.

Your last ranked IL candidate is still 1000x better than Fatty mcfatso.

IL GOT RID OF CASH BAIL FOR VIOLENT OFFENDERS.
IL KEPT MASKS ON LITTLE CHILDREN.
IL CLOSED DOWN LONGER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

The optics will be better nationally if a Dem sits in the gov chair as the state collapses.

Good thinking. Illinois will collapse any moment so you better vote for a dem for governor. Got to own the libs.

That’s the ‘we must destroy the state to save it’ analogy. I don’t buy it. I believe in incremental change. It’s taken us 40 years to Dem rule to get to this point and its going to take a generation to bring us back if that’s even possible.

As someone no longer in Illinois, my goal is for Illinois to serve as a shining example of liberal/Dem policies. Hopefully, it will influence independent voters nationwide, especially when other blue states also approach collapse. Yes, it sucks for those still in Illinois, but the sooner the collapse comes the better for the nation.

Thank goodness you can’t vote here because I don’t want “Illinois to serve as a shining example of liberal/Dem policies.”

Irvin is spineless and refused to stand up against the leftist woke mob and sacrificed his downtown to be politically correct. We don’t need cowards.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
