my other comment about the ” green new steal” is that theres 195 countries in the world,so if the u.s and only a few other countries are trying to become ” greener”-whats that going to acclompish with the so called ” global warming”?-heres a hint-NOTHING!!!

On top of which, India and China are more or less constraint-less in these “deals,” so all other countries are big net Losers to participate and strain their populations & economies. Further, no one mentions how the U.S. has been trending down in the ever-sacrosanct CO2 emissions, but so what, give America the biggest gag order!

so if the average tesla goes 370 miles on a charged battery, and you need to drive somewhere thats 410 miles away, youre going to sit for 7 or 8 hrs to recharge your tesla to go the extra 40 miles ,15 hrs in a tesla for your trip, roughly 7 hrs in a gas car for same trip, hmmm, sounds completely logical to me!

Silly, they don’t want you driving long distances at all! They want you on a government owned train or plane so they know who you are, where you’re going, and what you’re doing!

Traveling south on I57 in the middle of corn fields (they have their own form of beauty) a Tesla quietly passed with it’s plug cover open and it’s driver with a death grip on the wheel in a state of panic. I honestly belly laughed at the foolishness of it. Being taught what to think, not how to think.

Yes this is very true. Those options still sound better than sailing a cruise ship to Europe, Caribbean, etc. Those cruise ships can be nasty. 🤔☹️

If everyone is charging a car, they better make sure the electric company is very happy, unregulated, low taxed and able to build more nuclear plants. Otherwise moving every car to electric wont happen. Personally Id never own a n electric car, I don’t want anything I have to plug in or worry if I can get to Minocqua on a hot day with the AC running all the way without having to charge it again on the way. But for those who think an electric car is a good thing, you’ll need some nuclear plants.

It will happen. There will be a lot fewer cars.

California is on the verge of a power grid failure due to high temperatures and people charging their EV’s. State officials are asking EV owners to charge their vehicles during off peak hours, reduce air conditioning use, postpone laundry, shut off lights etc to conserve power. Just imagine a cold, dark, calm day with no solar or wind pumping out juice. These people who believe in this all green system are totally nuts.

… as in Northern Irish, Trump photos or something else? Nothing would reduce greenhouse gasses faster than much higher taxes on gasoline and jet fuel. Also tax bullets while they’re at it. Most voters don’t understand the word “regressive” nor do they read the NY Times editorials.

Also, let’s rename everything containing the word Ford or Chrysler.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
