Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints
Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.
Does anybody know how Illinois’ legal cannabis prices compare to illegal prices on the street? Not that any of upstanding regulars here would know directly, but perhaps you’ve heard something?

Hope this helps. Illegal still doing much greater due to the high taxes on legal.
I know two people and they still buy theirs illegally. One buddy is really cheap so if it’s less at the store he would get it there, my other buddy I assume doesn’t mind paying for the convenience of getting it delivered. I don’t know if it’s just the tax that makes it more expensive. I’m assuming anyone that is selling illegally is not paying rent, insurance etc. for a brick and mortar store so that factors into the price too. It would be interesting to know what it actually costs them to grow it.
The delivery aspect and the lack of taxes does make black market flower cannabis cheaper than the store. I have a friend who buys black market vape cartridges and it’s half the price or less than the store cartridges.
But, but, but according to Capital Fax, the IL cannabis industry has been rousing success, better than all other states with legal marijuana! Hahahhaa
I’ve been trashing on the incompetence, and apparently now, oligarchy, of the IL cannabis industry since the first week of January 2020 when there were long lines, high taxes and limited product available, for a rollout they knew was coming a year or two in advance.
