Illinois high school teacher brags about indoctrinating kids, then complains about ‘right-wing’ reporting on it – College Fix

Teacher at Crete-Money High School: “All you right wing conspiracy theory nut jobs who seem to think the teachers are out here just indoctrinating children into some sort of woke agenda that you can’t actually define, I’m just going to come clean,” Godbout says. “I am, in fact, indoctrinating your children.”

I hate woke ideology and any teachers and school administrators who impose it on their students. Wokism does not belong in education. Education should be politically neutral. I also hate how wokesters complain that conservatives, moderates, non-woke liberals, and any other people with normal, traditional views want to restrict their freedom of speech when the wokesters are called out for teaching students perverted sex ed and other woke topics. Wokesters do have a constitutional right to free speech, but that doesn’t entail teaching perverted sex ed to children or imposing any other woke ideology on students. Some topics are just… Read more »

The really frightening thing about the teachers is that they believe they are untouchable, and so far they are right. Untouchable in every way- financially, politically, ideologically. When questioned about anything, their response is equivalent to “what are you gonna do about it??” They believe they have their boots on our faces, and we are powerless to stop them. Isn’t that basically how they respond any time they are questioned? Worst of all, they paint it all as virtuous. This will not end well.

America is tired of their kids being taught by purple hair/nose ring sex deviants with warped ideologies and severe mental problems

Godbout delivers a great sermon that touches on all the tired socialist talking points. Plays well in Oak Park. Sermon delivered by Heather Godbout on September 4, 2016. Heather has been an educator in public schools for 23 years. She spent the first two decades of her career teaching special education and currently serves as the literacy coach at an elementary school in one of Chicago’s south suburbs. Ms. Godbout has also been involved in Unitarian Universalist youth ministry since 1997, currently serving as the youth coordinator for this congregation. She and her wife Amanda and daughter Briana have been members… Read more »

I hate any woke version of Christianity whether it be Catholic, protestant, orthodox, or anything else.

I’m a non-denominational Christian who doesn’t belong to a church who was raised Catholic.

I suppose that non-denominational Christianity would be considered to be protestant, but regardless of how people want to classify my beliefs, I definitely don’t stand with any form of woke Christianity.

You’re a Christian Traditionalist. That’s what you’re called. Observing traditional Christian values without identifying with one particular sect of Christianity. But these days, the woke sects always seem to be the protestants. The Unitarians, the Evangelicals, the Methodists too. That’s why many protestant churches are 95% empty, with some homosexual priestess harping on about social justice, they’re perpetually broke. Sure, there’s some megachurches that do well, but for the most part, at least in my part of the state, the woke protestant churches may as well just ditch the church grounds and call themselves them the local Progressive DSA chapter… Read more »

Which is ironic because for many years the protestants used to be the most conservative and the catholics were the liberals. Now it’s kind of flipped about with younger conservative couples attending catholic churches and the protestants are the older karens screaming about St. George Floyd.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
