I think MLB would be disappointed in the ticket revenue from capacity limits in IL. Not to mention the weather. On second thought – the MLB and Pritzker deserve each other.
MLB has a mostly older white male fan base which they are having great difficulties expanding into younger millennials or gen Z’s. They’ve tried hard, with the MLB app, and shortening the games, with mixed success. Which this latest move is totally boneheaded but I don’t know if they had a choice.
