Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Great JFK is in Chicago
It was Reagan who said “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”. (The JFK quote was “Ich bin ein Berliner”)
All the democrats can scream are racists comments and blame everyone but themselves so their declining approval ratings .
They stand with the status quo, shouting borrowed slogans, hiding the decay and decline in Illinois while blaming a president in office for ten months. They passed the budgets giving scarce resources to illegal migrants; they made their deals outside the statehouse, picking the beneficiaries based on how much they benefit personally. They are corrupt, hanging on to the carcass of Illinois for a few last licks.
Grandstanding Welch has his big” Reagan moment “. Like most Dems, he lacks any originality and has to piggyback on the thoughts and actions of more intelligent, productive people.
Welch, so concerned, yet he was directly involved in letting the Invest In Kids program to lapse, forcing several private school closures and many kids back into sub par local private schools while he sent his to Timothy Christian because his large pensioned state salary enabled him to do so. Now, he prioritizes illegal criminals over those same kids and the rest of us.
The Feds need to audit every legislator in Springfield..
