This is how the NBC Chicago covers an assassination attempt? Simply ‘rushed off stage’? So much journalisming there.

Notice that none of the interns at NBC Chicago wanted to take the byline on this one. They knew their take wouldn’t age well.

Pathetic.

Re the initial WH/ FBI/ SS press release it was an “ incident.”. Was really surprised that they didn’t trot out Omar to tell us “ someone did something..”.

Almost 10 years ago before Trump was even elected, you had a documented political consultant by the name of Robert Creamer, who also happens to be married to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, organizing all the civil unrest at his rallies. To this day I’ll never understand why his name is never mentioned or why everyone is now being coopted into sharing responsibility.

Thank you for mentioning that. It’s always been baffling to me how his name is always omitted. He’s a really dirty fella.

Pritzker is in a tough spot on this one. He has been increasingly personal in his attacks on Trump, and stokes the flames of hatred by saying Trump will destroy democracy in our country. Any statement he makes is disingenuous, and if he says nothing he’ll be criticized as well. He deserves the corner he painted himself into.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
