Texas has More Illegal Aliens than Minnesota, yet we see Nothing from Austin, Houston or Dallas like we do in Minneapolis.

You’re correct that Texas has more illegals than Minnesota, about 16 times more. Over 2 million in Texas versus about 130K in Minnesota. Which begs the question, why are so many ICE officers in Minnesota than the target rich environment of Texas? Wouldn’t ICE assets be better used where there are more Illegals? I’m sure Texas law enforcement would be more accommodating and the locals less likely to protest. It seems win win to me to send those agents from Minnesota to Texas.
For the uninformed, a conceal carry license doesn’t grant you an exemption from prosecution in the commission of any crime. It’s funny how MN recognizes an Illinois carry license, but Illinois gives the middle finger to every other state. But I digress.
What crime was Pretti committing?
His actions were not thought through. Injecting yourself into a volatile chaotic environment, interfering with Law Enforcement operations, stepping into a situation that you have no business in and no immediate identifiable purpose can have a bad conclusion. He made many bad decisions that day.
While I agree he may have made some bad decisions, they were lawful decisions and should not have lost his life over them.
Pretti’s father had a talk with him, and told him to “be careful” if he went down to the protests. Also, Pretti had a Concealed Carry license, but no one ever knew him to carry. Bad decisions, inexperienced licensee, unfortunate result.
Maybe everything you say is true, but nothing illegal there and he should not have lost his life over attending a legal protest.
Not to mention bringing a gun an 2 magazines to a “peaceful protest”

There is so much BS out on media about this and 99% of it is crap and half the story. ICE was arresting a wanted Illegal on the street, this dude steps in and defends the criminal and decides to fight with law enforcement. He has a 9mm with 2 extra loaded clips on him and it is unclear how the gun came out…as he is fighting with Law Enforcement. The only people to blame for this is local pols who direct their local LEOs to not cooperate with ICE for simple “transfer of custody” situations. I’m responding only to your first clause. The filmed version I saw an hour ago on ABC admittedly was taken at quite a distance, but it didn’t appear to me that his gun had been drawn. If there’s a closer view others may well think differently. But, really my main point here is ye old “rush to judgment” so many are prone to make. I totally agree with all that. I do think the problem on the right is mostly just Trump. He is routinely indifferent to truth. Count me as a supporter of most of his policy goals, but his means and nutty rhetoric make him his own biggest enemy. However, dishonesty is systemic across the left. They, too, care nothing about truth or hypocrisy, and it’s pretty much all of them. And when it comes to policy, they represent nothing less than suicide for America and Western civilization.

Sad all around. This man chose to interject himself into an active Law Enforcement operation in a chaotic environment caused by rioter violence. He chose to be there. He chose to step in and involve himself that resulted in him fighting with Law Enforcement. Law Enforcement have no idea who this guy is, what this guy is doing, what his intentions are, where the hell he came from…all they know is he is now stepping in and fighting with them…and he has a gun. He made several bad decisions for himself that day.
Homeland Security officials said that the man approached Border Patrol agents with a gun and the intent to “massacre” them on Saturday. Footage obtained by The New York Times, however, contradicts that account, showing the man holding a phone, not a gun, when federal agents took him to the ground and fatally shot him.
Mark, I applaud you for your retraction of your original statement. As more video evidence comes to light it seems the ICE version of events is not exactly as they originally portrayed the situation.
Bottom line. He had a gun.
Don’t pick a fight with law enforcement if you are carrying a gun. This is vigilantism in the heart of that cesspool they now call Minnesota and these people are taking the Soros bait again. Living illegally in our country is not allowed. Period.
