Illinois law requires schools to report discipline data and for districts with high or disproportionate suspensions to create reduction plans. “This law is another example of our state lawmakers overstepping their bounds and trying to control everything from Springfield,” state Rep. A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
