State Sen. Sue Rezin filed Senate Bill 2717 to enact a new state tax credit she said will help offset some of the costs that parents incur for both preschool and child care. Senate Bill 3104 from state Sen. Jil Tracy says qualifying families would receive a state tax credit equal to 25% of the current federal child care tax credit for each child.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
