Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. I’ll wager that it’s rather crowded with “ dreamers “, “ sparks of divinity “ and “ people seeking a better life “ right now.
Legalization was driven by an insatiable need for tax revenue. Ok, fine. But what about establishing criteria for levels of impairment and having roadside tests for the police to use akin to breathalyzers for drunk drivers? Not a day goes by I don’t smell pot wafting out of cars in traffic. Plenty of thought on taxation, none about impaired driving.
So, down vote person, you favor impaired driving?

Yes, such a tremendous thing this “emerging” industry is! We just can’t celebrate enough all the people getting wasted! What a hero JB is. He doesn’t know what to celebrate more. Should it be drug usage? Or maybe all those people addicted to gambling? Or how about all those dead babies? Such a great man!
Let’s not forget all the great work he has done making Illinois a safe place for anti-Christian and non-Christian alike.
