Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Many Democrats say in private that a platform consisting almost exclusively of all gay, all the time is tiresome and oft-putting. Gay rights to them are commendable but cult of gayness that requires more devotion than Scientology is scaring them away.
Quite a few Republicans — even conservatives — have agreed that some of the gay issues had merit. This gerrymander could end up being the biggest blunder in Illinois since Mrs. O’Leary’s cow knocked over that lantern. AKA Dummymander. Current consensus is anything less than D+12 goes Republican this next congress….not sure if I believe that but Biden is so bad, he’s a once in a century terrible president, he’s singlehandedly destroying the Democrat Party. Contrast that with Trump who singlehandedly saved the Republican party and made it stronger.
