As someone who formerly worked in the manufacturing training field, this was never an “issue” – manufacturers “bend over backwards” to actively recruit women into the trades. In fact, I recently found out that two of my former female clients were accepted into (the *very* rigorous) Pipefitters’ Training Center (Local Union 597) in Mokena IL – average pay after training is $50.00/hour.
