Illinois Republicans say ethics legislation being ignored by Democrats – Center Square

State Rep. Maurice West chairs the House Elections and Ethics Committee. He said he’s willing to have a conversation about ethics legislation, but doesn’t want to dwell on Michael Madigan. “Doing the right thing does yield dividends, however, Madigan is behind us now,” said West. ‘Let’s move forward, that’s how I feel about it.”

Of course West wants to move on from a fellow Dems blatant corruption. Those that don’t acknowledge the past are destined to repeat it.

Il Dems will never do meaningful ethics reform, just like Democrats will never clean up voter lists. Dems want to protect corruption.

Ethics reforms are of course desperately needed. Sisyphus would laugh at the likelihood of it happening in any meaningful way.
