Illinois sanctuary law will hinder, but won’t stop ICE agents in potential deportation actions – Cook County Record

Don Rosenberg, president of Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime said, “Sanctuary states don’t participate in [ICE program] 287 (g) where local and state governments allow agents to be stationed in their prisons to pick up illegals convicted of a crime as soon as they serve out their sentences. Without that cooperation agents have to spend a lot more time and money to find them and deport them.”

I guess us conservatives (I won’t say Republicans because so many are gutless) will have to do our talking at the ballot box – AGAIN! Maybe when people, including Democrats, start paying even higher taxes, get less of EVERYTHING because it’s going to the illegals, become victim’s of violent crime and keep paying higher prices for everything and a few other things, then maybe we’ll be able to vote this obese clown out of office. Until that happens we’re all screwed!

JB is going end up in the clinker for his defiance of federal law. The federal government will give him several chance to voluntary comply, and when he defiantly refuses, he will be hauled before a jury of his peers – in Western Texas – for a jury trial. A high profile billionaire actively defying the federal government makes him a plump and juicy target.

So take the extra money spent due to JB’s childish grandstanding out of Federal funds allocated for social services, programs etc. to IL. Watch the tough guys back down like the gas bags they are.

Exactly! With the financial state we are in, he can’t afford to have federal funds cut! I live here, but I would love to see it!

Far as I’m concerned all state and local agencies in Illinois that do not assist Federal authorities to apprehend and deport illegals is in violation of federal laws and statutes. Pritzker thinks his little child like gamesmanship is above the laws is wrong, he likes to violate laws and plays the game sue me take me and the state to court. I wonder how many law enforcement officers will and are going to cooperate with federal officials in light of what state law says.

Good cops will find a way around Pritzker’s BS and the state law. It’s called collaboration and contacts on an INFORMAL level. Back channels if you will!

JB Pritzker is going to find himself with some major legal problems as the founding member of the immigration #Resistance 2.0. A big fat juicy billionaire with presidential aspirations shooting off his mouth and openly defying federal law means that he will likely find himself on the receiving end of a weaponized DOJ and FBI. That’s why few other politicians have openly defied Trump. Trump isn’t f’ing around this time, he’s not appointing swamp rats to run the government. JB the arrogant billionaire is stupidly, and naively, opening himself up to massive legal and criminal problems, and these are problems… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
