Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin says he doesn’t know if Amy Coney Barrett is qualified for Supreme Court – Chicago Tribune*

Durbin voted against Barrett’s nomination to the appeals court both on the Judiciary Committee and on the Senate floor.

Durbin’s previous opposition to Barrett was due to her lack of judicial or courtroom experience as a law professor at the University of Notre Dame. He also questioned an academic writing which raised the issue of whether a Catholic judge should recuse themselves from capital punishment cases due to their faith. Barrett, a staunch Catholic, said then that her faith would not play a role in her judicial decisions.

After all the years Durbin has been in the Senate we all know he’s not qualified.

I am not a fan of any politician. ?

Having met the age and residency requirement, Richard Durbin IS qualified. Additionally, he was a Congressperson previously. ?

Before becoming US Senators from Illinois, Paul Douglas (1949-1967) was a brief Chicago Alderperson and his successor, Charles Percy (1967-1985) was president of Bell & Howell. ?

Obviously Durbin is a bad example of a Catholic just as Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi who all scream that they are good representatives of being Catholic.
Dick Durbin is not qualified to be in the Senate. Duckworth is only there because she pulls the war wounds when she can.
There are so many people who have issue of the same and more and they go on as if nothing there to see.
This woman is qualified and then some to be on the highest court in the land.

Durbin is anti-catholic. He has no business talking about the judge. His own office is riddled with scandal taking advantage of a pandemic by allowing his political people Joanna Klonsky and Bales to get no bid contracts for fake PPE from a Chinese company. This was also engineered by Lori Lightfoot’s staff as well. See the bGA investigation.
