Gas, cigarettes, gambling, pot… Wow the lower economic classes and elderly are finally going to be paying their “fair share” too!

Years ago i had a senior citizen neighbor who lost his home to gambling. Does the new gambling bill offer any protections to addicted gamblers?? Or do any of the ‘wheres mine’ crowd care? Or maybe gambling addiction can be covered in pritzkers expanded mental health spending? Or maybe pritzker can offer all the addicted gamblers (and me) free pot after they loose everything they got to pay for six figure pensions they’ll never have….

Does anyone have a list of any reforms whatsoever in this budget like pension reform/property tax reform/redistricting/school consolidation/reducing prescription drug prices/curbing healthcare prices/pension management fees/late pay fees of 1% per month reduced to prime rate/addressing lifetime healthcare costs for those who opted out of Medicare or any meaningful reforms that would put more money in my pocket this year? This list would be very very short. These reforms would have helped the majority of citizens and make it more tolerable to live in this state.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
