Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Just like the clown that floated the ideas of no drivers licenses or plate stickers and the other one pushing churches for reparations, they are always throwing out something outrageous and hoping that it sticks.
If DJT said the same thing, the howls would be deafening…
The Leftist Democrats and their authoritarianism comes right from the top with Joe Biden. The Red States are the real America, not the Blue States or the Imperial Capitol in D.C.
For once, the Trib actually tried to investigate some Dem shenanigans. The Dems reacted pretty quickly, trying to muzzle the Trib reporter for not going along with the usual “see no evil, hear no evil”, eyes closed. And doubled down, until the optics started looking bad with even their usual defenders in the media protesting. Would like to see more of this investigative reporting of Democrats. (Easy, the Republicans barely exist).
Yeah, this doesn’t make Welch look bad at all. Clown.
