Whoa Susanna, don’t you cry for me, for I come from Illinois, the taxes put me on my knees.”
Susanna goes off script here. Maybe on purpose, to give cover for JB the Hutt’s inevitable calls for tax hikes. If she’s gone rogue, then her invite to the next NPR gala will be mysteriously lost.

Our first indication as to the Mayor’s cluelessness with respect to real-world finances was when it was discovered pre-election that he was months behind on water bill and traffic tickets. Why we’d elect someone to manage a city with an $18B budget when then can’t manage their own finances is beyond me.
