Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Several states and cities have successfully been invaded by a group of politicians who take cover under the name of democrat. The ideology they wish to implement is totalitarianism, communism, whatever you want to call it. Their ideology is in direct conflict with The Constitution and bill of rights of the USA. What changed JB, BJ, Duckworth and Dorkin?
That’s a good point from a logical point of view. However, the law on that points in different directions. If Illinois can’t be forced to assist the feds with their immigration laws, what about when federal officers are being assaulted? There seems to be a difference (to the normal human) that not helping someone being assaulted is clearly different from assisting in arresting people here illegally. These people are breaking the law and Pritzker chooses to stand behind illegals as his main issue? If he only put this much effort into bringing back jobs and… Read more »
Yes, for sure, the law is on ICE’s side when federal officers are being assaulted.
The term sanctuary takes it a step further.
